Oxelon Media Converter is a complete audio and video converter. It supports almost every popular format out there, with the exception of high definition codecs usually found in MKV containers, such as H.264 and X.264, which require a separate download. The support for audio codecs is very extensive as well.
The converter allows you to convert any supported file to any supported format. You can also use it to extract audio from a video file to a single audio file. There are quite a few encoding options. By default, the application hides the most unpopular codecs and only shows those that are more commonly used. However, you can choose to view them all. You can adjust the size of video files by increasing or decreasing their quality or their size.
You can also use the Direct Stream mode to only re-encode one component of the files. For example, you can do this to compress the audio of a video file without actually having to re-encode the video, which saves quite a lot of time.
The feature that attracted my attention the most about this app is probably its ability to integrate itself with Windows Explorer. When you install Oxelon Media Converter, it adds shortcuts to the right-click context menus. So you can just right-click on a file and decide what format you want to convert it to. After that, the application will launch with all the settings already dialed in, and you just need to click on "Start". This process saves a lot of time.
